Shipping more than 500 containers of bulk and packaged wine every year, our primary export markets are China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Canada, and Japan.
Having worked in the Chinese market for a decade and with a dedicated team working on the ground, we have a uniquely deep understanding of what Chinese customers want.
Andrew established IWN Australia in October 2007, off the back of identifying niche opportunities in the global wine market which weren’t being fulfilled.
Prior to this, Andrew’s first foray into the industry was working in wine retail for Oddbins Ltd in the UK. Following which he studied both wine marketing and wine science back in Australia and spent two decades employed by various high profile Australian wineries including Geoff Merrill, McPherson Wines and Kingston Estate. Through working in roles including Cellar Hand, Winemaker, Sales Manager, Operations Director and Commercial Trading, Andrew’s primary focus turned to the commercially driven end of the wine business. Established supplier and customer relationships in various global markets including UK, China, Europe and the US provided the platform from which IWN Australia was formed.
Andrew remains as the primary director and strategist for the business and is intent on making IWN a highly customer-focused enterprise with superior levels of communication, responsiveness and loyalty to both suppliers and customers.

Sean joined IWN as Sales Director in February 2013, extending IWN’s customer base with his background and wide-ranging connections after more than 20 years in the Chinese wine industry.
Prior to his role at IWN and following graduation in 1997, Sean spent fifteen years working for Dynasty Fine Wines, one of China’s largest and most famous wine companies.
Sean’s passion for wine continually drives him to become an expert in his field. He has gained a wide range of knowledge covering all facets of wine production including, harvest, fermentation, oak maturation, filtration, bottling, storage and tasting. With this expertise, Sean has sourced wine during the course of his career from many major wine regions around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Chile, France, Spain, Italy, the US, and South Africa.
As IWN’s Sales Director, Sean earns customer’s respect through his professional approach, respect and value offering. To be a customer’s first choice of partner is Sean’s ultimate target and forms a strong part of IWN’s strategy.

Matt joined IWN as General Manager – Sales & Marketing in July 2017, bringing to the company a wealth of knowledge of both the Australian wine industry and global alcohol beverage sales climate.
Based in Adelaide, Matt is responsible for packaged wine sales including private label and OEM wine solutions, branded wine sales and also management of our imported wine portfolio. Matt spends many months each year travelling to markets around the world to develop sales & marketing initiatives and identify opportunities for future growth.
Matt has more than eighteen years’ experience in the industry and prior to his role at IWN, worked for several of Australia’s largest wine companies including Casella Wines [yellow tail], Constellation Wines and Samuel Smith & Son Fine Wine Merchants.
Matthew’s passion for the wine industry stems from his time growing up in South Australia – the nation’s largest wine producing state. He cemented his career in the industry with a Bachelor of Commerce and Wine Marketing at Adelaide University, graduating in 2000.
